Sure, when you were little and the holidays rolled around you had a wish list a mile long of the coolest toys imaginable. Who didn't want an Easy-Bake-Oven or Power Wheels? But as we have grown-up, hasn't the gift of giving become a much more coveted feeling than receiving?
Searching for the perfect gift for a loved one or even better a complete stranger seems to be what the holidays should really be about. Why do you think Santa is always so jolly? The look in someone's face when they get "the perfect gift" sends that warm fuzzy feeling throughout your body and brings a smile to your face.
As the years go on I find more and more enjoyment in the simplicity of gratitude. And if this feeling really is better than receiving…why don't we all make our own holiday more enjoyable by giving to others. So, this season focus on the gift of giving and you will truly receive more than you ever have before. Happy Holidays!
