ELIZABETH FARRAR

After joining Shira Miller Communications as a summer intern, Elizabeth Farrar now works with the team as a part-time Account Coordinator. A junior at Emory University, Elizabeth is pursuing majors in Comparative Literature and Political Science. Planning for a career in public relations, she is excited to extend her work at SMC and broaden her knowledge of the industry. Elizabeth has gained exposure to all aspects of the firm's business and contributed to work for several clients including the Tubman African American Museum, AID Atlanta, Flexible Executives, Accountants One, and Richardson Technology Systems. As a part-time Account Coordinator, Elizabeth will update media lists, write and proofread copy, research clients, compile and distribute press packets and participate in creative brainstorming sessions.

Much of Elizabeth's interest in communications stems from her involvement in student government. Currently the Vice President of the Emory College Council, Elizabeth previously served as Vice President of Programming, a position in which she planned events attended by over 1100 students and brought speakers, including actor Kal Penn of Van Wilder, to Emory's campus. She previously completed an internship with Peachtree Publishers, where she assisted in planning publicity for children's books. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with friends.
